Small Business Success is a semi-annual magazine published specifically for the U.S. Small Business Administration. The purpose of Small Business Success is to assist the SBA in fulfilling its mission to help small business owners start, manage and grow their businesses. Each issue will feature original articles covering trends, issues, advise and resources that business owners need to succeed.

Classified Word Ads $6.95 (per word)
Classified Display Ads $485 (per inch)

These ads are sold either by the word (12-word minimum) for regular word ads or by column inch (one-inch minimum) for display advertising. All classified ads are accepted at the discretion of the Publisher.

Classified Word Ads

Regular classifieds will be typeset as straight running copy. Two initials are considered one word, each abbreviation is considered one word and figures consisting of a dollar sign and numerals are considered one word. Zip code is considered one word and must appear in every ad that is running an address. Cities and states consisting of two or more words are considered one word. Telephone numbers with area code are considered one word. Hyphenated words count as two words. Internet or Email addresses/web addresses count as two words. No charge for normal punctuation. Symbols replacing a word count at one word.

Advertising Enhancements

We have enhancement options which can improve the effectiveness of your ad. These options make your ad stand out on the page and catch the reader's eye.

For Word Ads:

Option #1:
We will center and bold the type of the first line of your ad, and bold the web site and phone number.
Cost: $40 + cost of ad.

Option #2:
Highlight your ad on the page! We will center and bold the type on the first line of your ad, bold the web site and phone number, plus a color background for your ad. With this options, your ad will easily attract the reader\'s attention.
Cost: $75 + cost of ad.

Display Advertising

Column width is 2 1/4 inches. The magazine will pub-set straight type display ads. To supply your own file, we accept: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator Version 8 or high (when sending EPS files, save all text as outlines). High resolution PDF files (distilled through Acrobat Distiller with fonts embedded). QuarkXpress Versions 4 thru 6 with all resource files (logo, graphics) and screen/printer fonts (postcript fonts only, no true-type fonts) included. Saved as a PDF, Tiff or EPS. Circulation/Distribution

SBA - Small Business Success circulation is 250,000. Distribution is in/through SBA offices in all 50 states, trade shows and exhibitions nationwide including the SBA's National Entreprenurial Conference and Expo in Orlando, FL, Small Business Development Centers and Chapters of SCORE Counselors to America's Small Business.

Issue & Closing Date
Small Business Success is published semi-annually. Each issue of Small Business Success closes at the beginning of the month, two months prior. i.e. The Spring issue closes on March 1st*. The Fall issue closes on August 1st*. No cancellations or changes allowed after the closing dates. *Closing dates are subject to change without notice. Please call for updated dates.

Payment
All classified advertisements are prepaid. Check or money order in U.S. funds, made payable to RPI Classifieds, must accompany your order. There is a $35 service charge for all returned checks. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are also accepted. Include card number, expiration date, collar amount to be charged, name, address and signature of cardholder.

Agency Commission
Standard agency commission (15%) is applicable on display advertisements only. Agency commission is not given on credit card orders, or word ad enhancement options.
