Counting Words
Two initials are considered one word, each abbreviation is considered one word and figures consisting of a dollar sign and five numerals or less are considered one word. Zip code is considered one word and must appear in every ad running an address. Cities and states consisting of two or more words are considered one word; i.e. "New York" or "Salt Lake City." Telephone numbers with area code are considered one word. Hyphenated words count as two words. No charge for normal punctuation. Websites count as two words.

Style
All advertisements are set uniformly. The lead words are set in caps and the remainder of the ad is set in upper and lower case. Abnormal capitalization, type variations, illustrations and borders are not permitted.

Circulation

Guaranteed paid circulation is 300,000. This special issue will be distributed to 270,000 female Budget Travel subscribers as well as appear on the newsstand with special displays at Barnes & Noble, Borders and in tower displays at airports nationwide.

Billing & Credit

All classified advertising must be prepaid with order. Make checks payable to RPI Classifieds. There is a $35 service charge for returned checks. For credit card orders (Visa, MasterCard and American Express), include account number, expiration date, signature and the amount you authorize the magazine to charge your account. No advertising agency commission is given on credit card orders.

Commissions & Cash Discounts

  1. Commission to recognized advertising agencies is 15% when received on agency letterhead or insertion order form, paid with agency check, made payable to RPI Classifieds.
     
  2. No cash discount permitted.

Closing Dates

Girlfriend Getaways is published two (2) times per year. Spring/Summer Issue, closes February 12th, and will be on-sale April 8th. The Fall/Winter Issue, closes on June 13th, and will be on-sale August 6th.
Copy and Contract Policies
  1. Girlfriend Getaways Magazine is represented exclusively by Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA for classified advertising.
     
  2. Girlfriend Getaways Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA reserve the right to reject or cancel any advertising for any reason at any time.
     
  3. The maximum liability Girlfriend Getaways Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA will assume for any classified ad (typographical errors, etc.) is the total amount paid by the advertiser and/or agency for that ad. The advertiser and agency indemnifies both Girlfriend Getaways Magazine and/or Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA against any and all costs exceeding this amount. No adjustments will be made for errors that do not materially effect the value of the advertisement.
     
  4. Girlfriend Getaways Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA are not responsible for errors in key numbers or for any error due to illegibly written copy.
     
  5. Position requests are not accepted. Advance proofs of classified ads are not submitted. Also, Girlfriend Getaways Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA will not be bound by other conditions, printed, or otherwise, appearing on contracts, orders or copy instructions which conflict with the provisions of this rate card.
     
  6. All rates are subject to change with thirty (30) days notice.
     
  7. No advertising can be altered or cancelled after the closing date.
