Classified Ad Enhancements
We offer enhancement options which can improve the effectiveness of your ad. These options will make your ad stand out. Enhancement options are not advertising agency commissionable.
For Word Ads:
Option #1:
We will center and bold the type of the first line of your ad, and bold the web site and phone number.
Cost: $65 per issue + cost of ad.
Option #2:
Color highlight your ad! We will center and bold the type on the first line of your ad, bold the web site and phone number, plus add a color tint background to your ad.
Cost: $100 per issue + cost of ad.
For Display Ads:
Option #1: 2-Color - $200 additional per issue.
Option #2: 4-Color - $400 additional per issue. |
How to Count Words
Two initials are considered one word, each abbreviation is considered one word and figures consisting of a dollar sign and numerals are considered one word. Zip code is considered one word and must appear in every ad with an address. Cities and states consisting of two or more words are considered one word. Telephone numbers with area code are considered one word. Hyphenated words count as two words. Internet or E-mail addresses count as two words. No charge for normal punctuation. Symbols that replace a word count as one word.
Display Advertising
Classified Display - Column width is 2 1/4 inches. The magazine will pub-set straight type display ads. To supply your own file, we accept: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator Version 8 or high (when sending EPS files, save all text as outlines). High resolution PDF files (distilled through Acrobat Distiller with fonts embedded). QuarkXpress Versions 4 thru 6 with all resource files (logo, graphics) and screen/printer fonts (postscript fonts only, no true-type fonts) included. Saved as a PDF, Tiff or EPS. Send ads via email to: art@rpiclassifieds.com. Please include the publication name in the subject line.
Issuance & Closing Date
Fast Company is published monthly, on sale at the newsstands the end of the month prior to cover date. The closing date is the 25th of the month, three months prior to cover date, i.e.: the April issue closes January 25th. No advertising can be altered or cancelled after the closing date.
Commission & Cash Discounts
- Commission to recognized advertising agencies is 15% on display ads only. No agency commission is given on word ads, credit card orders or enhancement options.
- No cash discount permitted.

Billing & Credit
Classified advertising in all magazines must be prepaid with order. In order to receive the requency discounts, the total ad schedule must be paid for in advance. There is a $35.00 service charge for all returned checks. Make checks payable to RPI Classifieds. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and America Express. Please use the order form enclosed. We also offer a til-forbid contract, please call for more information. There is an automatic $5.00 processing fee charged for each ad processed.

- The maximum liability Fast Company Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA will assume for any classified ad (typographical errors, etc.) is the total amount paid by the advertiser and/or agency for that ad. The advertiser and agency indemnifies both Fast Company Magazine and/or Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA against any and all costs exceeding this amount. No adjustments will be made for errors that do not materially effect the value of the advertisement.
- Fast Company Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA are not responsible for errors in key numbers or for any error due to illegibly written copy.
- Position request are not accepted. Advance proofs of classified ads are not submitted. Also, Fast Company Magazine and Publicitas Promotion Network/RPI Classifieds USA will not be bound by other conditions, printed, or otherwise, appearing on contracts, orders or copy instructions which conflict with the provisions of this rate card.
- All rates are subject to change with thirty (30) days notice.
